Prior to joining Realstar in 2002, Ryan co-founded iGabriel, an early-stage venture capital firm investing in European business. iGabriel subsequently merged with Private Investor Capital, one of the U.K.’s leading, early-stage investment groups. Prior to founding iGabriel, Ryan worked in various roles in the area of structured and corporate finance.

As Vice Chairman of Realstar’s international activities, Ryan established the company’s London office in 2002. He was responsible for the firm’s entry into the U.K. primary healthcare centre sector, and played a key role in the acquisition of Realstar’s U.K. hotel portfolio. Ryan has responsibility for Realstar’s U.K. and European-based activities.
