About Irwin
Irwin holds an MBA from the University of Toronto. He has led Realstar Hospitality, master franchisor of Days Inn, Motel 6, and Studio 6 in Canada, since acquiring the Days Inn licensing agreement for 19 properties in 1992, growing the brand to over 105 independently owned and operated hotels.
In 2003 he engineered the acquisition of the Motel 6 and Studio 6 master franchise rights, building a multi-brand portfolio of over 35 locations with continued plans for expansion. Irwin is a former Chair of the Hotel Association of Canada.
