James Wilson
About James
James holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Toronto, a Bachelor of Laws from Western University, and an MBA from the University of Cambridge. Prior to joining Realstar, he spent five years as a lawyer at a leading Canadian law firm, advising on mergers and acquisitions, project finance, and large-scale property transactions, alongside earlier experience in real estate research and analysis at one of the world's largest commercial real estate firms.
James joined Realstar in 2011 as Vice President, Investments, and has been involved in all aspects of the investment management process, with a principal focus on acquisition sourcing, financial analysis, due diligence, mortgage financing and dispositions. Instrumental to the growth of the RAP portfolio, he was promoted to Executive Vice President, Investments in 2023 and now leads on all investment-related matters.
